Governor Charlie Crist has appointed Dr. Ana Viamonte Ros as the Secretary of the Department of Health and Florida's first Surgeon General. Dr. Viamonte Ros believes that "public health programs are instrumental in maintaining a high quality of life for all Floridians."
The requirement for all Florida licensed nurses has changed:
A two hour course on Domestic Violence is required every 6 years No further HIV course is required after the first licensure period. All Florida licensed health care practitioners are must take a two hour course on prevention of medical errors. ________________________________________________________________________________
